City Design Project - 8th - Algebra
Objective: Students will create a city design with angle relationships created when pairs of parallel lines are cut by a transversal.
Students were allowed to choose any media to display the required buildings within their city! We had so many wonderful projected completed!!

The MS Girls Basketball game tonight against West Prairie will be held at the West Prairie High School in Sciota at 18575 E 800th St., Sciota, IL 61475. Game time is 5:30.
Thank you to the family of Joe Halford for the generous memorial donation to Abingdon-Avon Public Schools Foundation. Teachers throughout the district received a donation to use for classroom supplies due to his families wishes to continue his support of the district, its students, and staff.

Mark your calendars! The middle school will be having a school dance November 4th from 6-8. Admission is one non-perishable food item to kick off our food drive. Bring a second item and receive a ticket for a free item from the concession stand.

The Middle School Interact Club donated $200.00 to the Abingdon Rotary Club for Polio Plus, which is Rotary International's effort to eradicate Polio in the World. The donation came from proceeds from 50/50 raffles. Pictured are students who did the raffles at the girls basketball.

The AAMS Girls Basketball game tonight against Macomb will be played at Edison Elementary, 521 S. Pearl Street in Macomb. Tip off at 6 pm.
Last night the AAMS Girls Basketball Team held a Pink Out night to support Breast Cancer Awareness. The girl presented roses to family and friends who have survived breast cancer. Through the sale of shirts they were also able to donate $200 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. We are so proud of our girls and their community spirit!!
Congratulations to Mrs. Kitch on being the monthly winner of $100 from the Abingdon-Avon Public Schools Foundation. We would also like to send a huge thank-you to the Foundation for their support of a grant to get new supplies for the 1st grade classroom at AES!
