Tuition Waiver Hearing

NOTICE is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 6:45 p.m. in the Abingdon-Avon High School Auditorium, 600 W. Martin St., Abingdon for waiver of State Board Rules and/or School Code mandates to waive Section 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12a which would permit the district to eliminate the tuition charge for non-resident children of all full-time employees of Abingdon-Avon CUSD #276 for the next five years (2022-23 to 2026-2027).
Mrs. Gilbert's 8th grade STEM class had a shoe design contest. The students had a runway show today to show off their creations and I was given the opportunity to judge the shoes on form, function, style, and comfort! We have some talented creators amongst our students!
The MS track meet (6th grade only) scheduled for tonight has been canceled. It will not be rescheduled.
Reminder - Tomorrow, Thursday, April 14th is an early dismissal day for D276 for Spring Break. AAMS will dismiss at 1:55, AAHS will dismiss 2:10, and AES/HGS will dismiss at 2:20. School will resume on April 19th. Have a fantastic break!
AAMS yearbook order forms are due Tuesday, April 19th! Don't have a form? Just send $20 check or cash to the MS office and we will take care of the rest!
The MS track meet scheduled for today has been cancelled. There will be practice at the MS.
There will be a 6th grade only track meet tonight at BPC. 7th and 8th grade track athletes are encouraged to attend to assist, however they will not be competing. Please contact the coaches with any questions. We apologize for the late notice.
Autism Awareness Spirit Week and today, Wednesday, March 30th the students are wearing their passion for teams and baking.

Reminder - Tomorrow, Friday, March 25th is an early dismissal day for D276. The following are the dismissal times for each building: AAMS at 11:20, AAHS & AES at 11:25, HGS at 11:35.
Due to a bus driver shortage today, the Abingdon in town routes will be running late this morning. All efforts are being made to pick students up in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience.
MS yearbook forms will be sent home with students today. The forms are due back by April 15th.
Due to the weather conditions, there will be no MS track practice tonight.
