During the week of October 7th, the AES Student Council will be sponsoring the Start with Hello project. This is a nationwide campaign to help end social isolation for children. Social isolation for children occurs when they have an absence or limited amount of contact and social interaction with their peers. The interaction they do have in often negative which leads to sadness, anger, and/or loneliness. Our hope is that some simple gestures such as starting the day by saying “hello” to others can help decrease social isolation.
Monday: Say Hello and Smile Day (Say Hello and Smile at others throughout the day)
Tuesday: Compliment Day (Give compliments to others throughout the day.)
Wednesday: Positive Day (Write a positive note for a friend, teacher, or family member.)
Thursday: Random Acts of Kindness Day (Do kind things for others.)
Friday: We Are Atown Day (We are a community! Wear your Atown gear or school colors.)
