Dear A-Town Community,
We are excited to return to in-person learning on Tuesday, January 19th. In-person instruction will resume under the same set of guidelines, expectations, and time frames as were in place when the district transitioned to Remote from November 30 through today. I believe that our students who participate in our in-person environment are entering as safe and responsible of a learning environment as possible under the conditions we are in. I also believe that we are providing the best possible remote learning opportunities for those families (nearly 23%) who selected full remote learning. 2020 was a year that we will never forget, even though we would really like to move on from it. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, 2021 is starting rough as well. As we move closer to warmer weather and vaccinations, I believe we will see brighter days and get closer to what people consider “normal” school. I, and our staff, appreciate your understanding and cooperation in our current learning model.
In closing, Tuesday will be a great day with students and staff back doing what we know and love: teaching and learning in-person. Please continue to follow the 3 W’s: 1. Wear your mask properly. 2. Wash your hands frequently. 3. Watch your distance. Let’s all do our part to ensure that we can remain open over the next few months. Check individual school websites for building specific information.
Thank you and have a great weekend,
Dr. Curry
