A-TOWN School Food Pantry NEWS: In order to receive a food box, you must fill this out and submit by Friday October 11th. This is for the October 17th pickup date which will consist of shelf stable products. Abingdon pickups are from 4-5pm at Hedding Grade School and Avon pickups are from 1:30-2:30pm. Concert preparations have begun at Hedding Grade School!! I know it is a bit early, but it is never too early in music class. Concert practice at home is never mandatory, but if you would like to add a little Christmas Cheer to your Halloween season have your student put on a little home concert for you using this practice website. Thank you Ms. Nelson for organizing this special fundraiser today for the Stipp family! Thank you to everyone who bought donuts, juice, and made donations! We raised $1165.76 to give to the Stipp family.
HGS collected 1,533 canned goods and non-perishable items during the HOCO food drive!! Mrs. Thompson's and Mrs. Batsons classes tied with 374 cans each!! They are the winners of a pizza party on Oct 8th! Congratulations!

There will be a 21 gun salute taking place between 11:30 and 12:00 today for a funeral at the United Methodist Church down the street from Hedding. Most likely it will be 3 guns and 7 shots. We wanted to let you know in case you hear gunshots during this time frame in Atown.
