We are pleased to inform you that Abingdon-Avon District #276 is once again participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provisions (CEP) for the school year.
What does this mean for you and your children attending A-Town?
All Students enrolled are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at NO CHARGE to your household each day of the school year. No further action is required of you.
***Milk is included with the school meals. Students bring cold lunch need to bring cash for a carton of milk of $ .35 if they do not have a beverage. District #276 recommends that students do not bring soda in their lunches. Students may purchase a second lunch for $2.55 in grades K-5 and $2.75 in grades 6th-12th.
Full Breakfast consist of: The meal is made up of 4 components including meat/meat alternative, grain, vegetable, fruit and dairy. The breakfast is offered to all students and is what constitutes a “reimbursable meal.” Students must have a MINIMUM OF 3 of the 4 COMPONENTS. One must be a FRUIT OR VEGETABLE
Full lunch consist of: The meal is made up of 5 components including meat/meat alternative, grain, vegetable, fruit and dairy. In grades K-8 a full meal will be served. In grades 9-12 student must choose a MIMIMUM of 3 of the 5 components. One component must be a FRUIT AND OR VEGETABLE.
The Full Lunch is offered to all students and is what constitutes a “reimbursable meal” for a student. ALA CARTE is offered in the Middle School and High School. Student will need to have money on their accounts to make purchases. No Charging is allowed.
