We had to show off our silly faces after taking our pictures today at school. We then had Miles’s Uncle Mark come in and tell us about his important job in our community as a city worker! Uncle Mark makes sure all of our water and pipes are working properly in Abingdon so that we can all stay safe and have clean water.

Fall is in full swing in K4! We are learning about how we celebrate the fall time with family and friends. We kicked off our unit in learning what we wear in the fall time and what we do. K4 loves to jump in leaves, watch football games and eat apples!
This is a reminder about physicals. If they are not turned in by October 15th, your student cannot return to school on October 16th! Physicals are required for PreK, Kindergarten, 6th, and 9th graders. Seniors, your last dose of meningococcal is due this day as well.

We had such special visitors in today to share with us what they do to help around our community of Abingdon. Stems and Petals told Begindergarten about their jobs as florist and even let us make our own arrangements for someone special!

A-Town Community School District CUSD #276 is selling four old school buses and one mini bus after the Board Education declared them to be excess property and approved the sale. The five buses had been utilized by the school district to transport students and are pictured below. These four buses and one mini bus will be sold AS IS and WITH ALL FAULTS. The District will be accepting sealed bid offers for these vehicles at the District Office through Friday, September 27, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. At that time, bids will be opened to determine the best offer. If you would like to view the buses they are located at the bus garage in Abingdon. The AAHS Student Council is sponsoring a Food Drive during Homecoming week. Donations can be dropped off in the high school parking lot Mon. - Thurs., Sept. 30 - Oct. 3 from 7:30 - 8:00 am and again in the afternoon on Thursday, October 3 from 3:10 - 4:00 pm. Double points are awarded for the class competitions for the following items: spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, cereal, chili beans, canned veggies, and boxed macaroni and cheese.
